Are Night time snacks adding more calories to your diet?

How many of us suddenly feel the "urge" for a quick night time snack?

Is not wrong to have a healthy night time snack, what is wrong is to have "empty calories snack" that sabotage our healthy regine. Do you agree?

For example, if you are home, watching TV, reading, etc, and suddenly feel that urge to have something sweet or salty as snack.

Now, let's see your options:

a. Sitting with a bag of oily chips or cookies in front of the television is just a killer snack.  Instead, you can prepare some home made baked pita chips with no oil, or buy them at your grocery store.  I suggest you avoid eating in front of the tv because you might end up eating more than you actually want.

b.  You can have low calorie snacks in case of feeling that urge for a snack.  There many healthy snacks under 100 calories.  Ex, chocolate pudding, vanilla pudding, frozen grapes, pita bread chips, fruits, jello, a single protein shake, ice cream, popcorn, etc.

c.  Have some peppermint tea.  It will help you satisfy your sweet tooth, plus signaling your brain that you are satisfied.

Preparing ahead of time your snacks will help you keep your weight loss result and satisfy your "urge for quick night time snacks."

Here are some of my favorite snacks, you can get some ideas or modify to your taste.
