Burning calories Ballroom Dancing at the Granada Pavillion
What an excellent way to burn calories, melt fat, and practice ballroom dancing while losing weight!
I had so much fun Saturday night at the Granada Pavillion.

It was a Hawaiian Day celebration and the show was marvelous.
Besides Hawaiian dance, there was a samba exhibition.
Boy... let me tell you, it was awesome!!!!
My friend Alexis Lueras danced with Van Spencer a samba called
"Santo Santo" by Gloria Estefan.
It was awesome! Marvelous! Great! Lively!
Alexis had so much fun and she knew how to shake her booty very well.
Everyone enjoyed the show. We were cheering for Alexis and Spencer.
Although it is a ballroom dancing, I take it as my workout exercise routine cardio to burn fat.
I danced like crazy. My goal was to dance every JIVE to burn calories and get rid of belly fat. I practiced the Jive steps I have been learning from the Dancing with the Stars Cardio Dance.
Even though I felt tired at times, I knew I had to keep dancing the JIVE as part of my fitness program for weight loss.
It means that not only I am losing belly fat fast, but also losing body fat,
not just plain body water.
So, if you wanted to know how to lose 3 pound a week of pure fat,
not water, here is your answer. Start dancing.
Ballroom dancing is a good exercise for over weight people because you can dance at your own speed and burn calories to get rid of belly fat.
My friend Ross told me he does not see my big stomach anymore.
Well, it is still there... so I have to keep doing my abdominal exercis routine.
So, as soon as I heard a JIVE, I just got up and danced with my friends.Next Saturday, I will bring my calorie counter to see how many calories I burn with each JIVE.
My favorite jive/swing is Glenn Miller's In the Mood."
Renato is great dancing the jive. He has so much energy, even more than myself!
There was so much fun at the ballroom dancing. It was also Ross's Birthday and John's.
So, I had a big piece of cake... I know.. you are going to say .. hello Anna "what happened to your diet?
Do not worry. I had a lighter dinner, so the extra calories I had with the delicious cake, were burned during my ballroom dancing. I make sure I had enough water, my protein shake, and healthy snacks.
I asked my DJ friend Biba to play some cumbias too. She played:
- La Cadenita, Sonora Dinamita
- El Ladron
- Mix del Cucu, El viejo del sombreron - Sonora Dinamita
What a ball! My peruvian friends Elsa and Elma danced with me. Actually, we danced with a group of people wanting to learn how to dance the cumbia. Alice is improving her cumbia dancing too. I like seeing her dancing latino because I can tell she enjoys it.
I danced a rumba too... "the Lady in Red." It was the best rumba I have ever danced.
My partner for that dance was an Italian friend with great sense of rumba sensuality.
I agree with Maksim Chmerkovskiy that ballroom dancing is the best exercise to lose weight.
I am seeing the results with my own body. I notice how my abs are getting in shape, a smaller waistline,
toned legs... wowwww.. let's keep ballroom dancing. It is my personal weight loss success story.
The best workout exercise.... dancing, dancing, and dancing!
Cardio exercise boost your metabolism and makes you burn calories to melt pounds.

Are you ready to lose weight now? This is the question.

Hi Anna,
Finaly, I got in to your website.
I must say, that it is very impressive the way you put everything together. Even John, said so!
It is a very good advise for everyone.
I personaly, never had an overweight problem . All my life I have been about the same. I wear clothes that are twenty and thirty years old. I think that's pretty neat. Don't youn agree?
By the way, I believe the same about eating and exercising. As you know, I come from Greece and the Mediterranean cuisine has been my love and my guide.
So, I am glad to hear about your successful story.
Keep up the good work, and let's keep on dancing!!!
Oh by the way, Yesterday, we danced all day long.
Arthur Murray Studio, had a big contest event at the Hilton in Costa Mesa. I came second in four dances and third on the Marengue. My daughter did much better and my grandaughter got all "First".
That's all for now. I'll see you Saturday at the
Pavilion.
Love
Alice

Hello Alice!
Congratulation for your weight maintenance. Wow, that is so impressive wearing clothes that are twenty and thirty years old. It is indeed PRETY NICE! You go girl!
By the way, you look very adorable at the Granada Pavillion Ballroom Dancing.
Dancing is the best exercise to lose weight while having fun.
Indeed, I think about you when cooking Mediterranean meals because you are from Greece.
So, whenever olives appear in any recipe... there is Alice!
By the way, from Greece I love Spanakopita! They are so delicious!
I am more into the Italian, western Israel, northern Morocco, and Lebanese cuisine, also part of the Mediterranean section.
Hey Alice, if you keep ballroom dancing you will be soon part of the DANCING WITH THE STARS constellation.
Congratulation for coming second in four dances and third on Merengue. We better dance some more Merengue this Saturday and shake our hips and shoulders.
Let's keep dancing and burning calories. What is your favorite Greek recipe?

Anna, it seems you have lots of fun losing weight. I admire your motivation and look forward meeting you. I am doing Richard Simmons just like you did when you were 230 pounds, it gives me hope that I can do it too.
Thanks and have fun at the ballroom dancing.

Welcome back Jackie!
You are right. Reprogramming the overweight mind, helped me tremendously. I am positive and enjoy my weight loss experience, and you can do it too.
I am happy to know you are dancing and losing weight too. Richard Simmons is the best option to start weight loss exercises when we have over 50 pounds extra. He makes it so fun, especially the Disco Sweat!
Jackie, if I lost 80 pounds, YOU CAN DO IT TOO. I am cheering for your weight loss success.

Hi Anna,
My name is Dana and I work for "First" magazine. We are currently researching a story on weight loss through ballroom dancing and I was curious to know if you would be interested in participating. If you could get back to me either way and let me know i would appreciate it.
