Are Curl-Ups the best ab exercise?

What is the best abdominal exercise to get a flat stomach? Do you dream of getting flat abs, a toned midsection, a well-defined six pack, a sexy waistline, and get rid of love handles? The question is, what is the best exercise to make those flat abs dream a reality. My dream is to get a flat stomach to wear my light blue dress without showing a big belly or love handles. Why do you want to get a flat stomach?
Some are the same, still carrying the big belly fat, while few have improved their abs and now wear tighter clothes. Personally, I am still trying to get rid of my belly fat to get a flat stomach.
I asked which was the best ab exercise. Out of 100s of abdominal exercises, the predominant answer was "curl-ups are the best abdominal exercise to work your entire stomach."
Supposedly, effective abs exercises must isolate the ab muscles without using much hip flexion muscles. I look for the correct curl ups technique to do my flat stomach workout effectively.
For example, EMG studies reported that curl ups are one of the best abs exercises to building the abdominal muscles.
Effective Technique for Curl-Up abdominal exercise:
a. Lie on your back on the floor with your hips bent and feet supported on a bench.
KEY: Your feet must be placed flat on the bench.
b. Cross your arms over your chest.
c. Contract your abdominal muscles and raise your torso not more than 45 degrees.
KEY: Make sure you keep your abs contracted and don't force your neck. Raise your torso feeling the abs, not your neck.
d. Isolate the rectus abdominis muscle, which is the large abdominal muscle or six-pack muscle.
KEY: Avoid grasping your hands around your head when doing your curl ups, crunches, or sit ups becaues you might injure your neck. Strength comes from your abs. This is what makes abs exercises effective. You will feel the tension right on your abs, not your neck.
After your abs exercise do your stretching exercise.
However, abdominal exercises alone will not get your flat abs and get rid of belly fat. A combination of a healthy diet, cardio exercise to burn general body fat, strength training, and your abs exercises will make your dream of getting flat abs a reality. In simple words, diet and exercise is your combo package.

Maybe the most effective way of getting a defined abs is having the great Renaissance artist Michelangelo chiseling our abs. Ok... that is a dream. Now, let's come back to reality and start working out our abdominals. I will do this curl up technique for a month and hopefully will be able to wear my light blue dress.
