Breakfast to boost my metabolism and a 30 min. cardio exercise


I am set to start my day with a balanced breakfast to boost my metabolism and set my fat burning mode.
 
  • While preparing my breakfast, I had my hot lemon tea  *
  • Caffe Latte  (usually I have Cappuccino or an Espresso)
  • Protein drink with pineaple (21 grm)
  • 2 fresh nectarines
  • a delicious home-made "empanada" pineaple pie. **

    My weight loss routine today includes:

  • Stretching
  • 30 minutes cardio on the elliptical
  • Cooldown

      Then, I have to enjoy .. well, not really be calm.. but watching the tennis match of Rafael Nadal v. Paul-Henri Mathieu full of tension. I am cheering for NADAL. 

      The other game is between Argentinian David Nalbandian v Serbian Novak Djokovic.

      I like Djokovic, but I prefer NALBANDIAN.  Although Djokovic is #4 and Nalbandian #26... but hey.... Nalbandian can make his come back again!

      Gee... then is Andy Roddick v. Marcos Baghdatis..... again..... two of my favorites!!!! 

      Well, I will be cheering for the best.... hopefully Roddick.
      Though, Baghdatis is improving....

      * For weight loss purpose, hot lemon tea with honey is recommended to take every morning in empty stomach.  The benefit is that hot lemon tea stop the increase of fatness, help in digestion, controls bile, acts as a natural diuretic, cleans kidney and purifies blood among many other benefits. 

      ** This home-made pineapple pie gives me the carbs I need to start the day.  Carbs are needed in the morning because they work as body fuel.  You may have a slice of whole grain bread, a pita bread, or oatmeals...

      Moderation is the key to succeed with your weight loss program.

        I am sure you would love this home made pineapple empanada. You can use any of your favorite fruits too. Though, for the purpose of setting your metabolism to burn fat, I suggest pineapple to help you flush wasted body toxins and maximize your weight loss program. 

        - You can prepare your pastry dough or get one frozen package of pastry or empanada packages. Usually, they bring 10. They are about 80 - 100 calories a piece.

        - For the pineapple filling, get fresh pineapples:
        a. Crushed pineapples
        b. Add natural sweet sugar/splenda/stevia to your taste.
        c. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder to your crushed pineapples to highlight the taste.
        d. boil your crushed pineapples mix.
        let it sit until is cold. You can do this a day ahead and keep in your refrigerator.

        To prepare the empanada
        1. Bake the empanada (this is much better, lower calories)

        Now, get your pastry or empanada,
        add about 1 tablespoon of your crushed pineapple mix in the middle. Fold your pastry as seen in my breakfast photo, like forming a triangle.

        Warm up your oven to 375 farenheit, insert your empanadas for about 10 - 15 minutes until golden look.

        ...uhmmmmm you will start smelling fresh pineapples with cinnamon and you know YOUR HOME MADE EMPANADA is ready.

        Serve warm or cold.

        Enjoy it. It is a healthy way to speed up your metabolism.

        PS: I prepare my crushed pineapple mix the day before.  In the morning, I prepare the empanada and while I am getting ready, the empanada is inside the oven. So, it is fast, convenient and delicious.
