Improvising A Weight Loss Menu during a last minute invitation

Have you ever been invited at the last minute to go out with friends for swimming and barbeque? 
What to do when you arrive and see mostly junk food, heavy calories dressing?
Do you break your weight loss menu plan?
What do you do?

Well, I tell you what I did.  My friends invited me to go swimming and have fun.  Immediately, just before packing my swimsuit, sunblock, and water, I thought, “wait… let me just in case pack a protein shake and some fresh fruits.”  When it was time to eat, I took a quick look at the menu they had… sadly, very few healthy choices. 

Then, I remember, I had my protein shake and my fruits.  So, I took some of the healthy food available and avoided completely the JUNK FOOD.  I prepared my weight loss menu (jello, salad with lemon juice instead of the heavy salad dressing, my protein shake, fresh fruits,  basmati rice.. 1 matzo with tomatoes and basil)

 I had such a wonderful time at the pool and luckily a “healthy meal” to keep up my nutrition.
