Talking about having fun while losing weight and toning your muscles, I had a blast at the Granada Pavilion Ballroom dancing on Friday organized by Michael Donovan and Edna. If you don't have time to go out dancing, I strongly suggest to dance at home, choose your favorite music and see how you melt those pounds.
Since I did not work out during the day, I accepted the invitation of my friend Edna, who dances so beautiful, and organized my time to dance specific dances to boost my metabolism and burn those stored fat.
- To increase my flexibility, I usually opt for Rumba because Latin sexy movements can help you stretch your muscles while creating a nice dancing effect.
- To burn calories, you know the best music to dance are merengue, reggaeton, jive, salsa, samba, and mambo.
So, I checked their music list and prepared accordingly.
The moment they played Elvis Crespo's merengue "Suavemente," I knew I had to dance fast for 3 minutes to boost my metabolism and increase my heart rate to burn fat. So, that's what I did.
Of course, if you want to look good while dancing, make sure to follow the melody, the beat and express yourself.
By the way, have you been watching "Dancing with the Stars?" They have some good routines and I recommend you to record the program to learn new steps.
It's too bad Maksim is no longer there because he is great. I bought the cardio DVD Dancing with the Stars and I get tired following MAKSIN in the Jive section. But, hey, that's the purpose, right? To sweat to get rid of extra pounds.
