You can dance fast for 3 minutes to boost your metabolism and increase your heart rate to burn fat

Talking about having fun while losing weight and toning your muscles, I had a blast at the Granada Pavilion Ballroom dancing on Friday organized by Michael Donovan and Edna.  If you don't have time to go out dancing, I strongly suggest to dance at home, choose your favorite music and see how you melt those pounds.

Since I did not work out during the day, I accepted the invitation of my friend Edna, who dances so beautiful, and organized my time to dance specific dances to boost my metabolism and burn those stored fat.

  • To increase my flexibility, I usually opt for Rumba because Latin sexy movements can help you stretch your muscles while creating a nice dancing effect.
  • To burn calories, you know the best music to dance are merengue, reggaeton, jive, salsa, samba, and mambo.

So, I checked their music list and prepared accordingly. 

The moment they played Elvis Crespo's merengue "Suavemente," I knew I had to dance fast for 3 minutes to boost my metabolism and increase my heart rate to burn fat.  So, that's what I did. 

Of course, if you want to look good while dancing, make sure to follow the melody, the beat and express yourself.

By the way, have you been watching "Dancing with the Stars?"  They have some good routines and I recommend you to record the program to learn new steps. 

It's too bad Maksim is no longer there because he is great.  I bought the cardio DVD Dancing with the Stars and I get tired following MAKSIN in the Jive section. But, hey, that's the purpose, right? To sweat to get rid of extra pounds.

Mango Lassi a Quick Healthy Yogurt Weight Loss Recipe to Lose Belly Fat, Burn Fat, and Improve Your Digestion

Here is Mango Lassi,  a quick healthy Yogurt Weight Loss Recipe for a snack that not only will satisfy your hunger, but will also help you burn belly fat and maximize your weight loss plan to shed pounds.  Sounds good?  

Good thing is that it takes less than 15 minutes preparation!

Mango Lassi Smoothie (Mango Smoothie)

1 cup (or less)
1 mango (if not having fresh mangos, you can use frozen mango, canned mango)
1/4 cup of cold water (you can add more water)

Preparation:

  • Peel the mango and put it in a blender, add the yogurt.
  • Taste the smoothie before adding sugar because sometimes MANGOS are very sweet that you don't need to add more sugar. 
  • Blend until you get a smooth consistency. 
    You can add some cubes ice in the blender.  Second option, just to pour the smoothie with some cubic ices.
  • Garnish with mint leaves on top or a slide of mango.

Quick Eggs and Rice Recipe to Have Protein and Carbs

Wondering how to get a balanced protein and carbs quick healthy lunch?  Here is this simple RICE AND EGGS recipe.

-  Cook your rice, instead of water you can use chicken broth.
- Separately prepare some scrambled eggs.
-  Mix the scrambled eggs with your rice.

That's it!  Simple as 1 + 1 =2....  

It's quick yet so nutritional and you will have your necessary carbs and protein to maximize your weight loss menu.  You may serve with a mixed salad garnished with lemon and herbs.

Get A Fitness Role Model to KEEP your EXERCISE ROUTINE AND TONE YOUR BODY

Many people ask me, "Anna how do you keep your exercise routine?"

Let me tell you my friends.  Doing exercises are not always easy, right?  However, once you start seeing results and noticing the transformation of your body, that's enough reason to keep your exercise routine.
It can happen to you too!

Here is a photo I took last year when going to the Tennis Tournament in UCLA.  That day I went to see James Blake. It was a blast!

My motivation, despite of enjoying losing all THE EXTRA POUNDS AND STORED FAT, is to achieve a toned body. 

It might seem strange that my Fitness Role Model is Spanish Tennis Player Rafael Nadal instead of a female figure, right? 

Well, it's not strange for me.  Why?  I like Rafael Nadal's seriousness and commitment to fitness because he transmits that during his performance. 

I like seeing and reading about Nadal's commitment to fitness.  Sure, as a woman, I don't want to have famous "NADAL's BIG BICEPS." Though I want to have flat abs and a toned body.  That's why my fitness role model is RAFAEL NADAL.  Whenever I don't feel like working on my abs, I just picture Rafael Nadal training and watching some of his tennis matches.

By the way, I noticed great improvement with my upper body just by comparing this photo from last year with my current photos.

In this photo, I am wearing a black dress for my favorite CARDIO EXERCISE "Ballroom Dancing." Believe me, I would have never wore this type of dress before!  Now, I am having a blast ballroom dancing!  This is Roger one of my Disco Dancing Partners.

Seeing Results with Arm Exercises and Abs Exercises while Ballroom Dancing

Hello my friends,

Just wanted to share with you about my "Weight Maintenance Progress and results of my arm exercises as well as abdominal execises.

Clearly, I notice great improvement because 'my famous rolls, love handles are just disappearing before my very own eyes!!!!"  Wow, I just can't believe it when I see my  BEFORE and AFTER  pictures.

Here I am at the Ballroom Dancing on Saturday wearing a sexy pink dress. 

I could not wear this outfit before because my weight was 230 pounds.  Today, I am 150 pounds and enjoying my new figure.  If you don't like doing regular exercises, you can shed pounds while dancing! 


I notice improvements with my triceps.  They are getting toned and losing that "jelly bean effect when waving hello." This is great!

My abs, hello, let me tell you. Slowly but surely, I am getting there.  Still working on my abs to get those dreamed flat abs. 

I love dancing Rumba, Mambo, Jive, and Cha cha cha. Here I am with my disco dancing partner Roger.  Disco is a great way to burn calories.  To relax and recover energies, I opt for Rumba and Foxtrot.

Rumba is a traditional Latino dance with slow tempo emphasizing the moving of the hips, referred by many as the "Cuban motion."   Sexy arm movements are used.  The combination of hip. arms, and attitude is what you need to interpret the sensuality of Rumba songs.

Feeling Lighter After Losing 80 Pounds while Ballroom Dancing to Lose Pounds and Tone Muscles

By looking at my old photos, I can't  believe I was  230 pounds!  I would have never been able to do this pose while dancing! 

Now, I am even ballroom dancing and feeling great! 

Hey, if you would have told me before that I could do turns, lifting legs, and shimmering, I would have simply said "NO, I can't do it!"   How could I do it without feeling tired carrying 230 pounds!!! 

Today, I enjoy dancing Cha cha cha, Jive, Merengue, Salsa to burn fat while toning my muscles.  I love Rumba because it helps me stretch and improve flexibility. You can also lose pounds using my weight loss tips.

For example, here, wearing a red dress,  I weight 230 pounds!!!  On the right, striking a pose while dancing with Manny, I  am 150 pounds.
Hey, if I could lose that MUCH POUNDS, so can you!

My fitness role model is Spanish Tennis Rafael Nadal. I like his commitment and dedication to follow his fitness regime.

I am working on how  to tone my arms and improve flabby under arms.

Hello my friends!

Wanted to share with you one of my favorite photos with my friend Alice. We had so much fun dancing a cumbia "La Cadenita."

I feel so great with my new figure! I am no longer carrying  230 pounds!!!! 

Most of all, I feel energized, more flexible, and following my weight tranining to improve saggy muscles.

I have to prepare my weight maintenance menu and check my exercise routine.

  • Sauna 2 times  a week
  • Weight training 2 times to improve my upper body, especially upper arms
  • Abs exercises 3 times
  • Dancing to learn new steps
  • Check my meal menus  making sure I have my balanced meals with protein, carbs, and fiber.
  • Have my nutritional supplements daily
